In the Kaplan revision guide I have a question (55) where when adding fixed overheads of 2 products, the answer then deducts an amount.
The question states the fixed overhead costs included in p1 relate to apportionment of general overhead costs only. However p2 also includes specific fixed overheads totalling 2500.
I don’t understand why the answer deducts this amount of 2500 when adding together all fixed overheads.

I am sorry but I do not have the Kaplan revision book – only the BPP one – and without seeing the whole question I cannot really help you.
If it is a past exam question, then give me the name and which exam – then I will be able to find it and help you.
