I am resiting f7 in June and all this time and I’ve been working in consolidated statements, SOPL, SOFP and finally EPS and cash flows and no matter how many exams or exercises I practise, I rarelly get them right, so now approaching questions of performance analysis, my morale is at underground levels!!! Its really frustrating because I’ve really worked hard but it seems I dont get it! Sorry for the discurse but I really need a word of advise otherwise I am considering whether to attempt this exam or focus in f8 that is my only chance of passing. Please help!
Thanks in advance.May 28, 2014 at 11:31 pm #171559Dear Alua,
Hang in there, my friend! It is most probably the exam stress. Just take it easy and attempt the past papers with a clear mind.
🙂

🙂
Alua, do you really believe that you are the only one out there that is struggling? I know tutors of paper F7 who never ever ever as a student got a consolidation question correct. (Nor incidentally, any other question)
Exam technique will get you through and, probably more important, a lack of exam technique could easily fail you, no matter how well prepared you are.
Keep working on the basics, keep scoring the easy marks. When you come to an area where you know you’re going to struggle, leave it and move on to an area where you are confident that you can pick marks up
Don’t allow the question to suck you in to an abyss where you struggle for 15 minutes and get nowhere other than into a deeper and deeper panic – because you’ve just spent 15 minutes and got nowhere!
Hope all that helps

Or maybe you meant “esteemed”
No worries, I’m quite happy being estimated 🙂
