What do you think about new exam format of F9? Pleae share your ideas and what have you all done with F9 this term.
Ssabyn199311y ago#2
The new format is simpler, due to the questions being shorter. I like it better this way, although the MCQ part can be tricky
Lleigh11y ago#3
Thought the MCQ were extremely tricky. Not a fan! X
SSarah11y ago#4
Me too, I expected the MCQ part to be easier, I was quite uncertain with several questions, especially the type "which statement is true...". Apart from that the format is good, I prefer the shorter questions in part B.

How was the exam overall? Easy, moderate or difficult? And which parts of the paper were more tricky?
Aaddy00711y ago#6
It was a fair paper though MCQ'S were tricky especially theoretical MCQ'S. I got many "C" in my answer, did anyone get? Hope for 50, fingers crossed.
Aanna11y ago#7
part B is ok, but MCQ is pure devil
Former userFormer user11y ago#8

Can you guys share the MCQ answer for those you all still remember!
Former userFormer user11y ago#12
I got plenty of A answeres in mcqs
SSunny11y ago#13
Question 2 part B was to calculate the share price using the PE ratio. I thought the paper was ok but the multiple choice was extremely difficult. I studied quite hard and I thought they were very tough. I just started blankly at some of the questions thinking HUH?!
Former userFormer user11y ago#14
I think it was about using P/E ratio to calculate the market value of shares?
Former userFormer user11y ago#15
Whats the answer for the npv??? Quedtion 4
HHong11y ago#16

Former userFormer user11y ago#17

@jeanmusc said: I got 3million something ....
3 mill?? Serious
Sscarlet11y ago#29
If ACCA were aiming to encourage better coverage of the syllabus on the F9 I think they've missed the mark. The exam was heavily weighted on risk and valuation with very little investment appraisal, working capital management or ratios relating to a business performance. The MCQ's were obscure to say the least!
HHong11y ago#30
@vipulv , do you remember what your answer for MCQ " earn abnormal return by reading previously share prices." ?
Former userFormer user11y ago#31
That is what I remember: Q1 Working Capital – 10m Cash Budget 5m Quick ratio – 2 m Invest cash surplus – 3m Q2 Business valuation – 10m Convertable – 5m P/E ratio share price – 5m Q3 – risks – 10m Fwd market hedge Interest rate calc ??? Q4 Investment appraisal – 15m NPV calc - Two revisions – Q5 – WACC – 15m – WACC market value & book value – 9m Rights issue to raise finance – 6m

McQ was hard and had questions in there, wasn't even from the syllabus..at least 3 mcqs..the part b was ok, still overall a tough paper compare to previous papers
