Hi…is there an opentuition study guide for f6 paper? i can see the other papers have the study guides, but i couldnt find it for f6.
February 14, 2016 at 6:56 am #300359Unlike many of the other subjects where students will be able to attempt past exam questions from the ACCA website, the past F6 exams have not been updated for the annual changes introduced by the Finance Act(s) (FA) of each year and therefore should not be used. This is why it is essential to purchase the relevant exam / revision kit produced by one of the approved providers.
If you are attempting the exam in either March or June then you need the FA 2014 version.
In the OT course notes you will find at the end of each chapter, within which you should have attempted every example, a note of which practice questions from the end of the notes you may then attempt and where appropriate which technical article (or section thereof) written by the examining team, you should read and work through.
Hope this helpsFebruary 15, 2016 at 10:28 am #300522thank you sir. i have seen that you have mentioned at the end of each chapter the practise question to attempt and the technical article where relevant. i hope this is sufficient together with the updated revision kit.
is it safe to neglect the study text and rely on opentuition lectures + notes and revision kit only?
February 19, 2016 at 8:02 am #301121It will certainly be sufficient to pass the exam if you know and can apply the content of the OT notes (working through each online lecture) and then work the questions from the exam/revision kit. The manual if you have it may then be used as a reference book where further explanation or detail is required.
