After i took F4 INT, as i had been advised, i was by chance told by the ACCA that if i wanted to get an auditing certificate at any point i would have to sit the UK version. Basically as long as you pass all your exams you can be a qualified ACCA members no problem, but as for getting an auditing certificate you have to pass the UK variant wherever there is one (F7 and F8 for example).

I don’t really understand why anyone in the UK does the INT version, there doesn’t seem to be any advantage to doing that. I’d be interested if anyone knows of any advantage to it.

    Hi Diana

The two variants are effectively 60% the same. English Law has a lot of contract law and a bit of employment law but no International conventions like International Sale of Goods which does feature in Global. There is also very likely one or two questions in Global about Arbitration and International trade rules.

But partnership law and company law are common to both variants.

Why not download a couple of past exams for each variant and compare for yourself? That always seems like a good idea to me 🙂

    Hello dear friends.
Thank you both for replying so promptly.
But I am still a bit confused in deciding on which version to take. Does it mean that Glo variant is inferior to Eng one? Does international version have any advantages to it at all?
And still another question: Does that same supposedly advantage apply to the other ACCA papers which have two variants?
