Hi,
I had problems with timing when writing P3 exam (I have passed P1), I only managed to do two questions in three hours and 15 minutes. Any ways to improve speed? Have been practising timing my answers but Its not helping. I find it timing to tight to read, process the info, think and write?
Many Thanks
Read requirements first.
When reading the question annotate the question paper – don’t just underline/highlight. You will therefore be thinking and processing as you go and will be able to more easily find material in the question.
Spend 5 minutes planning (for a 25 mark question)
Write succinctly and to the point. If necessary, use short paragraphs, each about two sentences long. Get your main points across.
Do not describe models: apply them. No need to even introduce them.
When times up MOVE ON to the next question.
How much reading time should I allocate for question 1 and section B questions if I set aside 5 minutes for planning time?
Q1 will require 10 to 15 minutes study (including annotations on the question). Other questions around 5 to 10 minutes.
