Sir I need your advise.
I booked on demand exam from the onky ACCA Exam Center in my area at 9th November which I transferred the exam fee, they promised I will sit the exam on 16th November, but they notified me 16th November 1hour before the exam sitting time that they had technical problem and there will be no exam.I went to their center and tried to meet face to face with the man in charge to know what happened and what will be the next step, the man who is responsible on the exam center pretended that he have no time to discuss and explain the matter and promised to call us.
He didn’t respond our calls and then he notified my friend (the one we are going to sit the exam together) that the will held the exam on next Wednesday 23rd November.
I started to prepare for the exam before two days then at 21st they said again that they still have the technical problem. So we didn’t sit exam on 23rd.
On the next week (Third week) they said they had solved the problem and they canceled our exams with ACCA and ACCA credited our fee, so they will wait ACCA exam link and we will sit the exam yet today we are waiting them to held the exam and the are waiting ACCA exam link, yesterday we said to them that ACCA respond emails in two days and doesn’t take to respond email more than a week and even they have call center.
The problem is not only the long time, their is this man who is responsible for ACCA exams you can’t contact with him as he says he is so busy on ather things.
No one else who can contact with ACCA and serve you and he is keeping ather workers between him and us and If you try to go his office he is not there even.Today we contacted with one of the middle men between us and told him that we need to get refund, we are waiting for him to respond.
What can we do, what rights do we have?
What steps should I take now?
Thanks.November 30, 2022 at 3:31 pm #672952As you must be talking about a CBE centre for on-demand exams (rather than an ACCA session exam for which there is a procedure in myACCA), you need to contact ACCA directly:

Presumably it is one of Gollis University, SIMAD University or University of Bosaso-Garowe campus since these are the only licensed CBE centres in Somalia https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/about-our-exams/centre-exams/on-demand-centre-exams/cbe-centre-list.html
I don’t know how long it will take ACCA to resolve and in any case it doesn’t seem satisfactory that you should have to go back to this centre at all. But today they said we have one option which is to wait till the next Wednesday since the exam was bought and no refund option but the coming Wednesday they will held the exam whether we take the ones canceled or a new one they will buy for us if the old exam is not reusable.
I don’t know what to do, because I can’t loose my exam fee, but I know they can’t be trusted.
So do can I refuse and insist the refund and book my exam remotely with ACCA and take my money back?
Do I have the right to take my exam fe back from them and say I don’t care what ever your excuse is.

December 2, 2022 at 3:32 pm #673126I just called again and ACCA has confirmed that they are looking into it, but as it is a more complex enquiry and due to the time difference, there is no answer yet. All I can advise is not to worry as it will be resolved. And I will post as soon as I hear anything.

December 6, 2022 at 3:13 pm #673676I have called again just now. Unfortunately, as you can imagine, ACCA is extremely busy as the CBE session exams started yesterday. I was advised to contact British Council as they have an ACCA team who might be able to help.
I am supposing that you will not be trying to sit the exam tomorrow at SIMAD, but if you are, please let me know how you get on.
If you are not, do you have the means to pay to sit remotely – at some point, the University must reimburse you.
December 7, 2022 at 12:39 pm #673840John Moffat has emailed you to please provide him with your ACCA registration number and registered email address – and also that of your friend with whom you planned to sit the exam. (You could alternatively write them here, though I appreciate you might not want to as this is a public forum, which is why I asked John to write to you.)
Following the referral from the British Council, ACCA has asked me to provide these details so they can contact you directly in order to resolve the issues.
