What is the difference between Enterprice Resource Planning System and Executive Information System?
ERP is software where the same database is used for all different operations within the business which means that they are all integrated.
EIS is software than enables the user to be able to access data from the database as required (instead of simply getting standard reports). The user can access the data in an easy way (by asking questions such as ‘what were the sales in May’) rather than having to use programming languages, and gets the results in an easy to understand form (e.g. by way of a graph or chart).
