41 Environmental costs are difficult to deal with for an accountant. Which of the following is not a reason for this?
    A Costs are often hidden
    B Costs are mostly minor
C Costs are often very long term
D Accounting systems rarely split off these costs automatically

The answer given in the kit is D, Sir. I don’t get it please explain as I don’t feel D is true.

Why do you not feel it is true?

It is only in recent years that companies started to be concerned about environmental costs.

The existing accounting systems for most companies were therefore not created so as to split off these costs automatically which means that either the systems have to be rewritten or the accountant has to split them off later “by hand”.

Exactly so, the fact that accountants find it difficult is because the system rarely splits them off, so it is a reason.
but the ques says which of these is NOT a reason :/

You are correct and it makes me wonder if there is a typing error in the question (and that the word ‘not’ should not be there).

Thank you for the clarification, Sir! so B should be the right answer, yeah?
