Hello Tutor hope you are doing well.
Which of the following statement is true.

    1) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems use complex computer systems, usually
comprehensive databases, to provide plans for every aspect of the business.

    (2) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are accounting oriented information
systems which aid in identifying and planning the enterprise wide resources needed
to resource, make, account for and deliver customer orders.

My doubt relates to statement 2, can you please tell me how come E.R.P is an accounting oriented information system.

Because what i thought was it is an information systems which performs variety of tasks, from inventory management to her to production schedule and accounting as well. So using the term “Accounting Oriented” seems to restrict the scope of an E.R.P

ERP is a type of software that organisations use on a day to day basis for accounting, procurement, and supply chain. So it is correct!
Don’t get so hung up on the wording!
