    Hi,

With the divisional structure, is it possible to operate financial function centrally, while other function such as HR, Sales ad Purchase operate decentrally?
For example,Product X and Y has their own HR, Purchase and Sales departments while the Finance function looks after both X and Y.

    Could you please describe this?

    Thank you
    Sarasi

Yes, that is very possible. Similarly a company could have one IT department looking after several divisions.

The name for this type of arrangement is ‘shared services’ ie all departments can share use of a single source of expertise and resources.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
