Can anyone tell me what is the difference between intelligence test, psychometric test, aptitude test, psychological and personality test and proficiency test??
Intelligence: basic IQ
Aptitude: a test to assess potential skills in eg computer programming, or languages.
Proficiency: how good you are at certain tasks eg typing or operatinf Excel.
Psychometric testing is a generic term measuring brain function. Eg IQ tests are psychometric. However, the term is often used to refer to personality assessment. Eg would the person be a good leader or does he/she show creativity, or socialability.
Psychological tests really means the same as psychometric.
