The English variant covers English law, especially contract law, whereas the Global variant covers international law including international contract law.
If you plan to work in England or Wales then take the English variant, if not you could take the international variant.
Bear in mind there is a South African variant as well though, so if you plan to stay in South Africa you should probably take that one, although there are not study materials on this website for all variants.

March 12, 2018 at 4:15 pm #442368Well, you get the same ACCA qualification no matter which variant you take, and I doubt employers will notice or care which law paper you took.
So it comes down to which paper will be more useful to you in your career or personally. The global variant is a more generalised paper whereas the country specific variants will go into more detail on that country’s specific laws.
If you play to stay in SA then take the SA version, as this will be more useful and interesting to you. Otherwise if you plan to go abroad you might want to take the international version. Bear in mind either way this paper only covers the basics of consumer & contract law and won’t make you a legal expert by any means.
I live in England and plan to stay in England for the foreseeable future therefore I took the English version.
