Passed on 2nd attempt with 57. (First attempt - 49)

I failed for the 3rd time 49%. 1st attempt was 46, 2nd was 48. I seriously have no idea what to do now. It is so frustrating and demotivating I felt like just giving up and drop dead.

Passed with 64 on 1st attempt!

First attempt - passed with 78%, so relieved. Two more to go

I don't know what have they done or did I do something majorly wrong. 35 that is absurd.

I have a solution to this, just hit me up, but you cant give up

2nd time 39% 1st time 48% Going to switch up tactics: Will do a different optional exam in March, then try AAA again at a later date. I can't study this boring course again, so soon after the disappointment of failing twice in a row.

I feel your frustration, just failed again at the 2nd attempt. As the other poster writes, each attempt is a stepping stone to success. We might pass next time, or it might take another 10 attempts, but we WILL get there. Hang in there and keep going!

I think its best to keep trying until you pass. Just passed on 2nd attempt. Almost switched to another optional paper but thought its best to keep trying whilst you still have the the stuff in your head. Dont give up..its hard I know but after a few days of swallowing it up and reflecting, dust yourself up and plan do rewrite in the next sitting....There is no victory without hiccups/obstacles...fight on and be positive that in His time, He makes all things possible..just know the reason why you started and look forward to the harvesting time when this exam journey is over.

I think what really matters with this exam is good exam technique and solid SBR knowledge. I sat SBR in Sept so my standards were fresh. Don't spend too much time reading the study materials, once you start practicing the questions you will notice the answers follow a pattern, especially the QA where you need to answer in form of briefing notes. I started my exam with QA (was most comfortable and practiced it a lot) and went straight into drafting the briefing notes format - all the standard paragraphs - introduction, materiality, then skimmed the exhibits and noted main audit risks, included the subheadings for last question and conclusion so I will not forget. Then worked through question picking up the easier risks first. You need to be really strict with timing - I had left one risk but moved on as was already 1 hr 20 min on QA. There was a weird question regarding auditing standards in section B but just wrote what I could think of to give myself chance to score marks. Attempt every question if you can to maximise your chance to get marks. In summary - study notes OT, exam kit (i used Kaplan) and free Practice to pass webinars from ACCA were really helpful (there are 4 lectures, each 3 hr long, free on youtube - really helpful explaining exam technique). Good luck, you can definitely do this!

I would highly recommend to anyone about to do AAA or resit AAA to consider Ben Wilsons AAA course. Hes an ex AAA marker etc and i found his course really enjoyable and he breaks down the exam technique needed to pass AAA . I wish I would of found him earlier instead of trying to self study.

Failed on second attempt. I got 43. Mainly, time management was a problem on my part because I didn't practice under a timer hence I skipped so many questions and didn't complete a single question. Also due to the frustrations, I took a break from ACCA from 2020..hence the knowledge of SBR was a struggle for me. But I will attempt it again in March and I'm very sure I will get it. Congratulations to all who have passed. You are giving me encouragement.
