i am feeling nervous as my exam clasped with in the first 20 minutes. the proctor told me my computer camera is not functioning but my camera shows it is working on my side. now I want to rebook but this remote exam is pushing us to give up.

I have no clue what to think. Section A seemed ok, section B had pricing which I think I did really bad on and variances which I seemed to be getting the same answers that were provided. section C part a had the balance scorecard and the 3 E’s which I didn’t really complete and made up as I didn’t study this in detail. Section c part b I also got relevant costing which I think I flopped as well. I hope I pass with at least 50% this is a retake and I honestly felt like all the major parts of the syllabus were hardly tested it was more of the parts that I skimmed over. ARGHHHH!

Guys did any of you got the material mix variance question in sec B ? which says about the litres.
BBritney4y ago#4
Anyone got the paper with BEP / CVP analysis and Balanced score card with explanation to why building block model is useful in service business in Section C ?
CCharlotte4y ago#5
Found the exam quite difficult, especially section B! Also felt like I had to guess a few answers in section A. Section C I had balanced score card and some calculations, and the other question was rolling budgets and beyond budgeting. All my past papers went quite well so feeling a bit deflated after this exam. Is it January we get our results?

That mock exam they released for this month was pointless, literally nothing came up or similar to what was on there, got the 3 EEs I'm good at writing so feel confident about that, then 2nd question for section c I can't really remember, only got 1 variance question for section b, elasticity came up clueless about that. Gonna be a close one
SSanket4y ago#7
I got the same paper. Can we discuss?
BBritney4y ago#8
which paper did u get for section C ? We can discuss if our papers are similar

I don't think the exam was THAT hard ...... However, I totally messed me up. section A was Ok, some what it was on various topics, section B I got target costing, throughput accounting which i didn't revise at all, and mix and yield variances. section C was rolling budget with a question about the beyond budget, and balanced score card.

Did you get a question on PEST?

Anyone who got 1800units AC and something like 8933units MC Section B ?
SSanket4y ago#12
1800 AC and 8933 Mc As AC has the contribution higher than of MC
SSanket4y ago#13
What was the shadow price ?
HHassan4y ago#14
It was very hard, and to be frankly honest it was pointless to release pre December mock exam. The amount information in ever question was overwhelming. Section A was ok but section B was the hardest from the rest. Not pleased with exam and not motivated to retake it for a quit good while. It is so frustrating that all hard work is gone down to drain.
SSanket4y ago#15
Sec C - Balanced scorecard and rolling budget Sec B - limiting factor, throughput and mix and yeild variance

What chapter is this ? Is it the pricing strategy chapter ?
MMohammed4y ago#17
Unskilled labour shadow price 0 right ?

Found it partially difficult, section A is Ok, section B is partially Hard and section C is bad. I got relevant costing and 3E's performance evaluation for Hospital.

There's 4 past papers on the ACCA platform for PM, Paper 1, 2, Specimen paper and Dec 21 Mock. Out of all 4 papers only like 5% came up in this exam. Should I be doing the past paper exams from somewhere else if it's this pointless?

Exam was hard for me...will be surprised if I pass. Section A was average, section B was hard af, spent ages trying to figure out the price elstacity and throughput questions which I probably got wrong in the end. Then only finished half of section C, had 3 Es and make or buy decisions :(
SSanket4y ago#22
What was the total contribution for 120x and 40y?
BBritney4y ago#23
Anyone got these : Section B- price elasticity , ABC costing , another one i totally forgot Section C - 1st balanced scorecard (comparing 2 airlines , with profitability, liquidity , risk and comment, another one with why building block model is useful in service , 2nd equation CVP/BEP analysis, selling washing machine
AAmbuj4y ago#24
Yes I got that
OOksana4y ago#25
Same here! This is my resit and i feel like i did worse than in September
OHomar hussain ali4y ago#26
the price elasticity question for 1.4 or something i think i got 61,000 abc i dont remember most but it was like 909.1 or something for the first setup and for the price question for demand function i got like p=30-0.25q
HHuzayfa4y ago#27
Difficult exam Section C was three E's and make or buy Not sure how the three E's made it to section C. I've done all the section C questions in the bpp revision kit and i can't remember a question solely based around the 3 E's There was more qualitative work needed for section C rather than quantitative Section A was OK Section B was difficult and so to was C
OHomar hussain ali4y ago#28
yea i got like 114.$ for the mix and yield i forgot but does anyone remember the true or false part or other answers from these qs for variance
MMichael4y ago#29
Very difficult exam for me. The pre-Dec 21 was pointless, nothing showed up in this one. A few questions on variance analysis, nothing on operational/planning ones. Nothing on budgeting! Harsh exam I think. Section A was ok, think I did well there. Had MOS/absorption coating/learning rate etc Section B was very hard, I had trouble with the awkward price elasticity questions. Variance ones were easy though, I had revised variance analysis HEAVILY so I was uoset to see such few. Section C - One on the 3 Es?! I hopefully did ok on this. Make or buy, found that really difficult

Do you remember the last Sect B questions? I kinda think its something related to sales volume V, sales mix V , and sales qty variance . I think i got the same equation as you , p =30 - .... , There's a Sect A questions on range check, sequence check etc , do u rmb what u choose ?

Anyone got these : Section A: LC-90%, ERPS-integrated database system, incremental budgeting theory, residual income theory, ABC practical q, Throughput return per hour, Section B- price elasticity , ABC costing ,sales variances Section C – 1st building block model (comparing 2 airlines , with profitability, liquidity , risk and comment, another one with why building block model is useful in service , 2nd equation CVP/BEP analysis, weighted avg. C/S ratio, margin of safety In my previous sittings,I had a tough time in section C but not this time for sure. I attempted paper of 100 marks . Found the Q of pricing most difficult which was in section B. Expecting a PASS
