Ask the Tutor ACCA AA

Corp Governance

SSourav4y ago
Hello sir, Lately watched lecture on Corporate Governance. Is it necessary to memorize the OECD principles and UK corp Governance code ?

You don't need to "memorise" or learn by rote details for AA - rather you need to know what principles, concepts etc are - and then be able to recognise or apply them. So for example, it should be "obvious" that it will be a better board that has more than half independent NEDs - and then in an OT-case Q you might have a scenario where you need to be able to identify whether this is met.
