Convertible debt

Hi sir, I have doubt in convertible debt. I see convertible debt which we have in business finance and Business valuation also. But I am confused how I know when in exam if they give me convertibledebt qstn. I have to do which one?? They both are different. In business valuation I see when we have convertible debt qstn the qstn ask to calculate floor value and conversion or right premium. But anyhow I want to know both chapters have convertible debt how I know which one to do?? Can you please give me some suggestion.
