Hi
I have a local diploma degree, and currently I’m doing a Bsc accounting and finance at university of London distance learning program while working in 2 jobs (one full time as cost controller and the second one is part time as general accountant ) .
I have completed 4 courses out 12 in just 3 years !!! ( maybe I will complete the degree in 3-4 years )
The support and the materials in the university I would say they are nothing, I must study all at my own (no lectures no videos, only a subject guide and I have to search and find the topics)
Now I lost the motivation to continue..
every topic I waste a lot of time just trying to find the best informationI found in the internet a lot of resources about ACCA (videos, notes , books and Kaplen they said it’s the best) even here the free notes and the forums it’s full of useful information
I need your advice , what should I do ?
Continue studying my Bse or move to ACCA ?July 7, 2020 at 1:34 pm #576241You could look here to see if anything you have achieved already will give you exemption to any of the knowledge exams so you don’t have to start from scratch in the ACCA qualification. https://www.accaglobal.com/an/en/help/exemptions-calculator.html
Even if you do have to start from scratch the first four exams are available on-demand so you could aim to clear these relatively quickly.
You will see on this page that you could combine ACCA with an Applied Accounting BSc (Hons) degree https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/qualifications/glance/acca/diploma.html – it really depends on where you work etc whether you need a degree (since the ACCA professional qualification ranks “higher” than a degree employers may not need a degree as well).
I recommend that you download the ACCA qualification structure https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/qualifications/glance/acca/overview.html so you are in no doubt about the number of exams involved.
