Hi,
I just started this course at Heriot-Watt, without having any previous accounting or financing experience/knowledge. What would be the best material to start learning and practice on, here on Open Tuition? Where should I start? There will be a two hours sitting exam for this course and I very much doubt that I would be able to pass only with the tutorials from the Uni. I am an Independent Distance Learning student studying MSc Construction Project Management. Many thanks.
Florin“Project management” is only touched on in the ACCA syllabus – but if you are wanting a basic understanding of management (cost) accounting you might find the MA resources useful https://opentuition.com/acca/ma/

You have to bear in mind the the resouces on this site are specific to accounting qualifications – surely the uni proposes reading lists – or there is a network of other students to help direct you – even if you are self-study?
