Have you watched the free lectures on process costing?? The reason it is called process costing is that it is used when there are several processes involved. When a factory makes a car, maybe the first process is simply making the shape. Then the shapes are transferred to the next process where maybe an engine is fitted, and so on. I do suggest that you watch the lectures!
