Yes, of course, you can use from NY Stock Ex because you can use any companies in a jurisdiction where the Code of Corporate governance is required by the regulations so SoX's works for US

Hi All, I have a question relating to topic 17, the info pack makes reference to using excel and I read it in posts here, I will use it to make calculations for Accounting ratios (profitability, liquidity, gearing etc.), is there anything else I need to include in excel ? Also, how would I find the outstanding shares of a company (sportsdirect), tried looking at their website, London stock exchange etc. cant seem to find it.. Thank you.

You can't be in the right bit of their website then as the information is on there. Try going to Investor Relations https://www.sportsdirectplc.com/investor-relations/share-information/share-price-chart.aspx Make sure you show some actual calculations using formulas not just graphs (percentage increase in share price over the period for example)

Found it under share section, Don't know how I missed that. Thank you!

hello admin and mentors where should I post my queries for t17 previously my thread was closed telling me to post in the relevent thread where should I find the thread for t17 or shall I open a new one again ?

Topic 17 was changed from Period 35 onwards so we have this old forum thread for anyone who may be resubmitting their work that was submitted originally prior to P35 (probably very few students now). However the current forum thread for Topic 17 is https://opentuition.com/topic/corporate-governance-t17-new-submissions-from-period-35/page/9/ We ask that everyone uses the search facility first before they open new threads. And any new thread should be given an accurate name so that we can identify what the key query is (general titles such as 'OBU RAP' or 'Need help' should be avoided as they are too vague).
