In your lecture, sir, you hesitated calling the $60,445 as profit for the NCI. Then what is the right term for the $60,445? Is working W3B rightly called “profit for the nci”?
No, although for you and me it appears that the nci has made a profit -they have disposed of their entitlement for an amount receivable greater than the value of that entitlement – we should not call it a profit.
NO! It’s not a profit! It’s a transfer between owners or a transfer between equity
(but you and I both know that, really, it’s a profit! Shhhhhh! )
Kkkk! Ok, thanks sir for the explanation. Much appreciated! I hope in the exam it will not get worse than working W3B.
Let’s both hope that!
