is there any changes for December 2015 exam session compared to June 2015..for F7 nd F5..as am using Kaplan text for F7 which is dated til August 2015..So should I need to replace with a new one or is the same text used for june 2015 enough.
September 2, 2015 at 5:25 pm #269596You need to brush up on IFRS 15 which probably isn’t in the Kaplan August text but it IS in the December syllabus. There’s an IFRS 15 chapter in the free course notes that you’ll find on this site
IAS 11 and IAS 18 are now out of the syllabus but the chapter headed IAS 11 is still relevant as it demonstrates the calculations to be used for finding the figures in the context of contracts with customers
Other than that, changes in the syllabus are pretty cosmetic

September 6, 2015 at 8:58 am #270024IAS 39 is now no longer in force and is, therefore, no longer in your syllabus (with effect from September 2015)
September 6, 2015 at 9:38 am #270031Thank you so much Mike!
May I seek you advise on how to recognize and measure for “Available-For-Sale Financial Asset” under IFRS 9 if it is examinable for F7 Dec’15 exam?
September 6, 2015 at 9:57 am #270034The classification of “available for sale” that was in IAS 39 has been dropped as a classification in IFRS 9

September 6, 2015 at 5:26 pm #270110Put “IFRS 9” into your search box and click on the “iasplus” option
That should help at this late stage
