Hello All,
does someone know how many point will be added when ACCA claims that examination results will reflect the circumstances at the examination center?
All claims are considered on their merits and will be determined after the marking but before the release of results. But it will be a few marks rather than lots. So if for example a student were to lose 15 minutes of time and so failed to answer a 10 mark question – they are not going to be given a discretionary 10 marks (!) But they might be given a few, so if their mark was a marginal fail they might still pass.
Thank you this helped a lot,
I see they consider like a marginal fail from 45 to 49 points.
There is a note on one of MA study guide:
“Marginal fail?
If you scored a marginal fail (between 45%
and 49%) last time it is likely that you failed
because of poor exam technique”
Yes that’s what’s generally consider to be marginal.
