Good Day John
I would like to know if will I be penalized in the exam if I use my financial calculator and show all the input functions when I have to calculate the PV (Market Value) for example etc? Or do I have to use the PV tables provided in the formulae sheets in the exam?
P.S It’s my 1st time writing the AFM exam, I was exempted from writing the FM paper.
Thank you in advance.
You will not be penalised provided that all of your workings are clear – the marks are for the workings and not for the final answer.
(And do make sure that your calculator does not display text at all – that it only displays numbers. The ACCA regulations do not allow calculators that display text.)
Thank you John.
You are welcome 🙂
