I’m currently having BPP revision kit dated till June 2017. Is it okay if I use it to prepare for the coming March 2019 session? Are there any major changes that I need to be aware of?
Thanks in advance
January 29, 2019 at 6:23 pm #503604There have been no major changes (and my free lectures cover everything needed for the current syllabus). However, do make sure that you download the more recent exams (and answers) from the ACCA website and practice those questions as well.
January 30, 2019 at 7:07 am #503642Hello tutor
I would like to add something with your answerFrom past few sessions ACCA does not provide the full questions which usually comes in exams.
I had a horrible experience and still failing to pass the exam.
Last session dec18 I sat for CBE F5 exam, the questions which came in my exam and the questions which are published in the website under past papers are completely different.I had nothing in common, and they just added two questions from last two sessions only.
Can you please tell what should be the exact reason?
If we don’t see the questions which comes up in exams and if we do not practice it then the lacking will always be present isn’t it ?
January 30, 2019 at 8:37 am #503666The ACCA now only publishes sample questions every six months that are selected from the previous 2 exams each time. It is because there are now 4 sittings a year (there used to be only 2) and they are only published so as to give an indication as to the level of difficulty.
The questions in Section C are always different – questions are never repeated. The reason is that the examiner (quite rightly) is testing that you really understand the topics and are not simply learning the answers to previous questions.
I assume that you studied the topics thoroughly before practicing questions and attempting the exam? I suggest that you watch my free lectures because they are a complete free course for Paper PM (it is no longer called F5) and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam.
In addition, simply practicing the past exam questions on the ACCA website is nothing like enough practice. You must buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They are full of past exam questions and other exam-standard questions for practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam. - AuthorPosts
