For every 100 metres of leather bought, 20 metres are wasted and therefore only 80 are available for production. Putting it the other way round, for every 80 needed for production, they need to buy 100 metres. So if 2 metres are needed for production, they need to buy 100/80 x 2 metres

The problem with the leather has been quite a common problem in the exam - the idea has often been asked.

Im sorry but why they needed 100 metres for 80 available? I seem can't understand about this

For every 100 metres of leather bought, 20 metres are wasted and therefore only 80 are available for production or for every 80 needed for production, they need to buy 100 metres. So if 26 metres are needed for production, they need to buy 100/80 x 26 metres which equals 32.5 metres.
