Dear Sir
Please can you say some of the terms that indicate whether beta is geared or ungeared
Mock 2 q3 use the term “investment equity beta”
I have see the term project beta which i must assume is ungeared
Equity beta (or share betas) are always geared betas (as I explain in my lectures).
Published beta’s are always the beta’s of shares and therefore equity betas so if all you are given is a beta with no indication as to whether it refers to the share or to the business, then it is automatically a share/equity beta.
