    Criteria

    Provide accurate answers, calculation marks will not be awarded unless supporting calculations are shown.
    Identify reason for change in Total Shareholder Return year-on-year and provision of reasoned justification.

    Critique DVM model, relate it to the scenario, provide critical discussion of alternative techniques and conclude with a recommendation. You should draw on a range of academic souces to support your discussion.

You may wish to consider the impact on your employment. The word limit for this task is a maximum of 750 words and the recommendation is that you aim for a minimum of 400 words to cover this task adequately.

    Total Shareholder Return (TSR)
    Required:
    a) With reference to Tate & Lyle’s annual reports for dividend information and
    share price information, calculate the TSR for Tate & Lyle for the years 2018 and 2019. The company’s year-end is 31st March. (4 marks)
    b) Discuss which major factor caused the difference between the TSR for the two years and what might have caused this variable to change. (6 marks)
    You may wish to draw on information in Tate & Lyle’s annual accounts and/or news articles when considering why the variable has changed.
    Word limit for discussion: 100 words

    I have no idea why you have typed out all of this (unless you are expecting someone else to do your assessment for you).

    Nothing in what you have typed is examinable in Paper MA – none of it is in the syllabus!!!
