Hi all,
Apologies if the below is a slight venting – but there are some questions I’m stuck on also for which I seek advice.I sat APM last week for the second time. Been pulling my hair put as I know I failed again, despite huge effort – I got intimidated/put off track by one line on the easiest questions (the only numbers question, and hence the easiest marks to get when you know it) and didn’t attempt it. I expect between 40-45%. Raging doesn’t begin to describe it.
Alas, life goes on. I’ve 3 left including APM (SBL & AFM too) and, desperate to move city but not before I get at least 2 more exams, after his latest setback I’m looking at all and every option. I’m tempted to ditch work, study full-time and do 2 in March (APM repeat and either SBL or AFM). Thing is, I know i’d miss the social aspect of work, seeing people everyday, getting me out of the house. I’d be home studying using Opentuition/other online resources. I could do night classes, but they aren’t a social function a la university etc. I imagine it could get lonely and isolated. Study is a solitary pursuit and one I’ve no problem engaging in, but I worry the loss of the normality of seeing people everyday and feeling a part of the world might have on morale and subsequent performance.
Anyone have any experience or thoughts? I think I’ll meet a professional guidance counselor for advice but any input welcome 🙂Thanks
