Hello my name is Kay and I’m from France.
I would like to know if there were any ACCA member from France on the board ?
I’m currently sitting the ACCA’s French equivalent [3 Levels : DCG (Fundations level) passed – DSCG (Skills level) on process with just 2 papers left to pass – DEC (professionnal level)]. I am self studying.
The French DSCG qualification would award me some exemptions for the ACCA papers; from F1 to F9, so I’m planning to sit the ACCA professionals papers after passing the DSCG completely.
I would like to get some feedbacks and insights from French candidates who are sitting or have already sitten some ACCA papers.

Sorry to say that I do not have a response to the issue you raised.
I have finished ACCA. I live and work in Cote d’Ivoire. To be registered and practice, I need to obtain le Diplôme d’expertise comptable (DEC). Cote d’Ivoire is a francophone country.
Do you have information on how an ACCA holder can make this transition.
Merci de bien vouloir me venir en aide !

Same issue at my side
Did u find the solution ??March 3, 2021 at 12:16 pm #613011Hi Kay,
I’m also in France but in the opposite situation. I’m looking into the possibilities of getting a French equivalent (DEC) after I will finalise my ACCA qualification. Do you have any experience with this or have any information?
Thanks,
AnaMarch 3, 2021 at 6:16 pm #613142Ana – the original post here is more than 5 years old – so don’t hold your breath for a response.
Although ACCA would probably give some exemption to students with French equivalent it probably doesn’t work in reverse as national qualifications can be quite different and national bodies can be quite protectionist. You might be more likely to find information on a French www that attracts people who might be in a similar position to you than here – for example, I came across this one http://www.compta-online.com/est-que-acca-est-dec-international-t2333
Please see also my response on your related post here https://opentuition.com/topic/benefits-of-keeping-acca-membership-when-being-based-in-the-eu/#post-613139
I am now closing this thread as the original post is old and, as you have found, there is now a separate forum for members.
