Should we explain the theory first before applying any model??

For example the 4 benefits categorizations.
I saw in examiner answer they first explain each of them! Even if didnt ask to explain . Its about 8 centences of explanation then applying it to senario

    It waste time.

No, you should not explain theories/models unless specifically asked to (which is unlikely). The examiner has stated repeatedly that this will not gain marks.

It is recognised by the examiners that their model answers are not what they expect form students as they are much too long and detailed. You could not be expected to produce that standard in the exam. The answers should be regarded as learning material, so often there will be explanations of models to help understanding. However, do not do that in your exam answers.
