    Hello Mike,

I am considering to attempt P7 exam along with P2 in March exam session next year, do u think it is a good combination? I have just recently resumed with my ACCA studies after many years of a study gap. To what extent do you think underpinning knowledge of F8 or F7 is important in order to pass this paper. I passed F8 and F7 in 2008 and not working in non – accounting sector. I intend to use only the exam kit, open tuition notes and ACCA technical articles as the tools to equip myself in order to pass these exams. Do u think these are sufficient resources and enough to pass ?

    Thanks.

I can think of no reason to deter you

It would be a sound policy to go back to the F7 and F8 video lecture a and course notes to bring yourself back up to speed – there’s no need to spend a lot of time (probably) going through that basic material – it depends on how receptive your mind is to this refreshment.

P2 and P7 is a good combination both contain a degree of ethics and P7 invariably involves some knowledge of P2 accounting treatments

As for material, again what you have identified should be enough – that, and a lot of industry from you

Of course both Chris (P2) and I shall be here to give you guidance whenever you feel it necessary

    OK?
