Hi Sir, I haven’t taken the new version of P2 – SBR but I did take Corporate Reporting subject in my university which covered most of the IFRS ans IAS in the past 2 years.

Is it sufficient if I just revise the IFRS and IAS so I could take this paper in December, or I should take SBR first instead?

    Please advise.
    Thank you.

I think you first need to check the examinable docs list for SBR and take a quick look at the syllabus and study guide to check the coverage. Bearing in mind that it is the audit implications of IFRS/IAS accounting treatments that is examinable (you will not have apply accounting techniques) you may feel that your background is sufficient.
I would also suggest that you attempt an FR(F7) CBE exam (available on ACCA’s website) – either the Specimen or S16 or D16 – at least the OTs and OT-case questions to make sure that you have a firm grasp of some of the most relevant standards. This would highlight whether there are some topics that you should revise if you decide to not take SBR first.
