Hello,
I am going to submit my Rap for the first time in November 2016 and I am confused to choose my mentor. I read info on your forum about learning Luminarium ,it service quality is high, but the price is expensive for me. I tried to find out more cheaper ones, has anyone student any exerience with Anna Lischman or Virtual mentoring?
I look forward to hearing your advises .
Thank you in advance ,
Natali from GeorgiaJune 15, 2016 at 12:49 am #322960Anna Lishman is no cheaper than the Learning Luminarium however Hammad Ahmed Qureshi of the VM Virtual Mentoring Network I believe is a lot cheaper so may suit those who have to work to a strict budget.
All three are reputable and have a reasonable pass rate but as mentioned previously, TLL mentors have the experience of being tutors as well as mentors and have been involved far longer in the RAP process. I would particularly recommend them for students facing their final submission attempt or in a situation when passing is absolutely critical.
June 15, 2016 at 7:26 am #322991Dear Trephena, thank you for your attention !
Under TLL , you mean The learning Luminarium , am I right?

It was the challenging and exciting experience.

I highly recommend him personally.
KairatSeptember 22, 2016 at 9:44 am #341356I am just preparing for the 33rd Submission period, but I have already finished the RAP, thanks to my mentor, Irwin, from “The Learning Luminarium” (similarly as the fellow student above)
Regardless to my result, I am so happy and lucky to have Irwin as my mentor. I have learnt so much from him during the RAP! His professionalism, experience, his commitment to guide me and to improve every single detail in my research made a huge difference.
I highly can recommend him and “The Learning Luminarium”!
September 23, 2016 at 3:03 pm #341456Dear Kairat,
I am extremely thankful for the kind testimonial. I must say that it was a great pleasure being your mentor. I think I learnt as much from you, as you feel you did from me.
May the OBU degree be a great stepping stone for you in your dreams to get your Masters or MBA!Irwin
The Learning LuminariumSeptember 23, 2016 at 3:05 pm #341457Dear Bolage,
You are the first student to ever thank me BEFORE you even know your results! Thanks for the great vote of confidence and I am sure you will do very well for this sitting.
No other student has ever assimilated 42 sources into one graph. Your tenacity and rigor will get you far.Irwin
The Learning LuminariumOctober 6, 2016 at 4:42 pm #342563Hello
I would definitely recommend the Learning Luminarium to anyone seeking to do their OBU RAP. My mentor was Irwin who gave very good guidance and support. He was quick in responding to my emails and always followed up to see how I’m progressing. I was successful in my first attempt and I have never attempted any kind of research project before. Thanks Irwin!! Thanks Learning Luminarium!!
November 14, 2016 at 5:11 pm #348948Hi,
Based on Open Tuition’s recommendation and the testimonies of many fellow students on this forum, I decided to use TLL for mentorship: I must say that I have no regrets. I took the early bird, platinum package and I was assigned Irwin as my mentor. He is the best mentor any student could ever hope to have. He is very professional, patient, supportive and can truly empathize with the issues that many students face. The best part about TLL is that they lived up to their promises. Irwin was always prepared and available to answer any questions in a timely, clear and knowledgeable fashion.
This was my first time undertaking a project of this nature and I was able to submit it with confidence because he motivated, challenged and guided me to produce a report at the highest standard I am capable of. I am eagerly awaiting results in March 2017, but in the mean time I want to say thanks to Open Tuition and to all those who took the time to post their experiences, for introducing me to TLL.And special thanks to Irwin at TLL for the sterling service…

Hi, can I know which package you guys chosen?
Other than meeting, students still can ask any question via email and they will still reply right?
Platinum Package is quite expensive. Premium Package is equally effective?
December 18, 2016 at 10:33 am #363941Hi Leewen,
The main differences between the packages are the number of meetings (3 for the premium package and 5 for the platinum), the recording of meetings (for the platinum package) and a review by a second mentor (platinum package). Students do well with either package as they have differing needs. Write to us at admin@learningluminarium.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you with your choice of packages.
We are also running an early bird discount of 15% for all mentorship starting now and to be completed by 31 March 2017. That might help with the pricing!
Regards,
Adrian Tan
Learning LuminariumMarch 22, 2017 at 5:31 am #378895Dear Prospect OBU students,
let me follow up on my previous post I made in September. That time I thought that my OBU RAP results are irrelevant to be thankful to my mentor, Irwin, for all his diligent and professional mentoring he gave to me. We was there every time I had a question, and his personality turned this “must pass” project into an exciting learning experience. I have learnt so much from him and with him.
Today morning, the results for the 33rd Submission period was released, and I have passed (at the first attempt) with an A.
If you have no mentor yet, or you have no idea where to find a professional mentor, I would like to recommend you Irwin at the Learning Luminarium. As I know he has limited seats for students, but if you are luck maybe he can accept you as a mentee.
Good luck to every student, and thanks again Irwin for everything!
March 22, 2017 at 6:04 am #378898My mentor was Irwin from Learning Luminarium and I would definitely say that every buck is worth.
When I started my RAP I was really shaky as I didnt know how to proceed with blank page in front of me, but Irwin really helped me to go through this phase with his professional expertise, and today I graduated with First Class degree, Grade B, in first attempt.
March 22, 2017 at 9:38 am #378926Failed my RAP but from what i am reading on this forum my confidence is back that i will resubmit a successful project. surely i will enroll with Learning Luminarium.
March 22, 2017 at 11:26 am #378952I passed today with a grade B and first class honours, Trephena’s recommendation of the Learning Luminarium was crucial to this success- because Irwin was truly an incredibly earnest and highly experienced Mentor. I pestered him with endless emails and he never once failed to respond- all the time encouraging me to better my project. Honestly, I’ve seen other mentors who charge much more and lack the experience or conviction to deliver an honest service like TLL.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great, supporting mentor who’ll lead you right from the start to the finish line.

I have passed RAP with grade B in first attempt.. Thank Irwin for his patience and guidance!!
He is a very nice and patience mentor, always guiding me to the right track and ensure I have get the important point. When I have facing any problem, he has respond to my question very fast..
Thus, I highly recommended Irwin from “The Learning Luminarium” as RAP mentor..Best luck to those who is taking RAP too.. 🙂
May 16, 2017 at 1:38 am #386377I have just submitted my Report and I am quite confident that I will pass. I failed the last time. Without knowledge of a forum like this, I blindly choose one mentor suggested my college. He was very passive on replying to my queries that resulted in an emphasis on finishing within the deadline rather than quality of the report.
After my Opentution discovery, I used their recommended mentor, The Learning Luminarium and I got the best mentor (Irwin).I got replies for all my queries within an hour and I nagged him again and again, a thumbs up for his patience. He pushed me towards finishing my report ahead of time, which I thought I couldn’t achieve as I just started a month ago. I already feel that my hard work will pay off 🙂
The best advice I can give is choose your mentor wisely, it makes a lot of difference in your report.
May 16, 2017 at 4:34 pm #386505After reading the positive feedback here about TLL, I decided to go with them for period 34 topic 17. I must say I get it! I had a great experience and Irwin, my mentor, has a positive personality and made what was a very daunting project for me, very achievable through his detailed guidance and responsiveness. All my queries were responded to and swift which increased my focus and the momentum of the whole process! I just submitted my project and I look forward to a positive result in the autumn time!
September 20, 2017 at 2:17 am #407994Hello,
I would strongly recommend https://learningluminarium.com. I appeared for period 33 and selected topic 20. In my first attempt my analysis was pass but unfortunately I got F in my references, therefore I couldn’t get pass over all. But in my second attempt in period 34, I just wrote some topics in my own words and included more reference. And this time I passed!!
Mr Irwin was my mentor, he walked me through all the process. He challenged me to work harder. All our meetings were detailed and he made sure I remained on my track in completing for the objective of topic 20.
I was glad I passed in my analysis in my first attempt, had not my references been less I would have passed in first attempt. However, in my second attempt, as there was not much work to do, Mr Irwin reviewed those topics and I wasn’t even charged. I really appreciate his help.September 20, 2017 at 6:19 am #408002As promised I am back with a positive result! Passed with a B! Thanks again to Irwin my mentor from TLL for his insight and wisdom in steering me in the right direction! I highly recommend TLL!
September 21, 2017 at 3:09 pm #408210I chose The Learning Luminarium based on the Opentuition reviews and I have no regrets.
Juggling a full time job, revisions and the research project was not easy but Adrian, my mentor was just wonderful and very supportive. No matter how many times I would send him draft reports, he would always be replying the next day with clear and precise explanations and recommendations. He was also very accommodating when I had to reschedule meetings.
I passed my research project with a B grade on my first attempt. I would definitely recommend TLL to other students.
December 2, 2017 at 4:52 am #419563I chose TLL for my RAP after performing a lot of research on various forums as well as Opentuition. My project was based on Topic 8, and my mentor was Mr. Adrian.
This was my first attempt at preparing a project of this nature, and my experience with TLL and Mr. Adrian was extremely positive. My mentor was very professional, knowledgeable, and guided me through every stage of the RAP. He replied to my e-mails swiftly, and provided clear and understandable explanations to my queries. Thanks to my mentor, I was able to complete and submit my project before the end of the submission period.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend The Learning Luminarium to anyone who is looking for a mentor to aid them with their RAP. They are very professional and have a great track record in assisting students to pass this project.
March 21, 2018 at 8:38 pm #443313Hello there
I submitted my project in Period 35 and successfully passed in the first attempt. Through word of mouth I heard that the institute I study my ACCA in did not mentor well when it comes to OBU and hence I decided to go with The Learning Luminarium (TLL) as pretty much my last hope. And I’m glad I did.
The meetings were flexible which was a huge plus. Their materials were highly informative, concise and accurate. Moreover, my mentor Adrian Tan was especially knowledgeable and experienced and knows exactly what he’s doing. My first attempt pass would not have happened if I didn’t have the help of my mentor from TLL. The journey is demanding and tough no doubt, but with a good, supportive and knowledgeable mentor, it surely makes it easier and achievable.
I would recommend TLL when it comes to OBU mentorship as I trust and respect their mentors completely.
March 22, 2018 at 4:34 pm #443485Hello all,
I am happy to say that my project achieved an A grade on the first attempt – 1st class honours degree attained.
A very big thank you to Irwin from The Learning Luminarium – an absolutely first class mentor whose wealth of experience and ability to challenge me to dig deep got me past the finish line. He was really friendly and generous with his time – no question was too daft to ask. He also asked questions that helped me expand my thought process.
A bit of background info – period 35 was my last opportunity to do the RAP (10 year rule) and it also happened to be my first submission. Opentuition was a fantastic resource for getting ideas on how to approach the RAP – you do great work Trephena.
It was here that I found out about The Learning Luminarium so I’m really glad I came onto then OT forums. Keep up the good work! Irwin, many thanks and never tire of helping students achieve their dreams.March 22, 2018 at 10:41 pm #443518AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0
