dear sir, please I need help with some clarifications concerning the time-based system and the piecework system of remuneration.

my question is: under what circumstances is time-based system better than the piecework system and vice versa.

    thank you

There is not really a best pay of remunerating.
Piecework is better for a company when individual employees are responsible for individual production e.g. a company making shirts where each shirt is produced completely by just one worker.
Time-based is more suitable where the product has lots of workers doing work on the same unit.
