Passed. 64%. This was my last exam. So happy. My heart is dancing. It's been extremely long journey but I didn't give up. To those who are still to pass this exam. Keep going. Don't give up. you WILL do it. Advice: Read a lot of news. I found it very useful. Not just for the exam but for your business acumen in general. Love to all. Keep well.

Passed SBL first attempt. Just one last paper left to tackle.

I fail, first attempt at this exam and my first professional paper! Revised a lot but nothing prepared me for how short 4hours is in this exam. Hopefully I can book my exam for December and pass it second time!
NNoshma5y ago#6
Passed SBL 56% second attempt! Still under a shock a bit....a huge pressure off! Only one paper left now! For those who didn't make it successfully, please don't be disheartened! Plan your time well and keep a good time mgt. Write as much as you can (apply the models and read model answers) and in a good flow. I hope these help even if might sound very "light" tactics. Congrats to those who cleared it.

Last exam and 78 mark, after 4h of the exam I thought I would fail, simply couldn't remember anything I wrote. If you were not lucky this time, keep studying and follow your chosen plan, there are many ways to study, but do stick to one you chose and try not to distract yourself with diff advises/approaches which are so readily available

Indeed , many approaches to sbl! But one must stick to what they feel more comfortable with. As much time can be lost trying different ways (I myself lost time understanding how to approach the syllabus and questions along side in a short time frame before exam as I couldn't do just all of it). Congrats.

Finally I'm now an acca affliate. I passed 3 Professional papers in 2017 ( CR now SBR,AFM & APM) in just one diet and first attempt but I passed the Sbl at the fifth attempt. Glory be to God...Never give up.

Hi can any one guide on SBL preparation?
HHang5y ago#11
OMG I cried. Finally Affiliate. I passed. 57. At the FOURTH attempt! I did not give up and I've made it! If you failed this time, please keep going and you will success. Do every past paper under time pressure. I've tried many approaches but nothing better than that. Thanks Opentuition with your lecture notes and videos. It helps me a lot for this attempt!

48 points first time... I participated on 10 days online course and processed past exam papers. Is it sense to contact ACCA for two points? ? I used LSBF materials on course. Maybe Kaplan would be better? Congrats who passed!
VVivian5y ago#15
Passed with 54%..first attempt..discovered MNN's SBL videos by Hasan Dossani 3 weeks to the exam which greatly helped me (as i didnt read the study test)..also did some practice questions..wrote 2 papers, SBL & AFM (2nd attempt)..failed AFM..would have ben an affiliate if i passed. would switch over to APM for Dec diet instead.

Pass with 60% Second attempt
JJennie5y ago#17
That was a very strange exam, I lost so much time just feeling the pressure that it was my last one. First time pass, lowest mark throughout
NNBM5y ago#18

YHYoon Hui5y ago#19

AAybuken5y ago#20
I passes at my first attempt with 67. I benefitted from open tuition lecture notes, online lectures and flashcards. Additionally, I studied BPP exam kit. Good luck to all of us.
AAndy5y ago#21
Fail with 48. I was sure I would pass. Do not know what to do know...
AAnna5y ago#22
Passed first attempt with 69%! Thanks Open Tuition
AAndy5y ago#23
What you think about am admin review? I was really confident in my answers but did not expect 48.
GGlasvegi5y ago#24
My first professional exam passed in first attempt. Though i was expecting more than 59%. Thanks to Opentuition, another exam passed in first attempt. As usual i only followed Opentuition lectures and notes coupled with Kaplan Text and Exam kit. Thank you so much Opentuition. I dont know how would I have even passed any of my ACCA exam without it when even buying latest books is so difficult for me.

I failed SBL second time 46%. I really do not know what is it that I can do different, I am really thinking about giving it up all together.. I was convinced I did well and it would help to see the paper and see where I lost marks otherwise what else can I do different next time? I failed before, but never felt this lost...
Llefteris5y ago#26
Passed with 61% first attempt. For those who haven't passed, don't give up!

An admin review is just a recheck of what the marker has done and isn’t a remark. It’s just another way for them to get some money out of you and it’s soooo rare that the result ever changes.
MMubeen5y ago#28
Absolutely gutted. Not sure how I only got 32 marks on the paper after attempting all the questions with a timed structure in place. I thought I might have done enough in order to pass but clearly not. Oh well looks like I'll have to resit!!!
PPetra5y ago#29
I ran out of time, didn't attempt a whole question and a half. I got 40%.
MMocah5y ago#30
First attempt fail with 49%. :( Heartbroken with 1 mark closer. Manage time well and attempt all question. Should I do admin review?
