Congrats to all who passed!!!
3rd attempt and failed... 32, 41, 49... Trying to pass P5 since December 2016 to complete this ACCA programme...
Im tired and burnt out!!! I need some advice....
Hey Laura. Can you give me tips on what you did? Thanks
Hi what is e-biz and linked theory. Haven't heard about it. Been doing self study
Please help me. Failed again.
Passed P5 with 66 marks. I only covered Opentuition notes and lectures. Nothing else.
THANK YOU OPENTUITION
Passed with a 50% ! Affiliate :D
Wow, really inspired by your story. Never, ever give up. Congratulations
First attempt: 40
Second attempt: 41
Third attempt: 41
I know my timing and not being able to complete the paper is an issue but seriously I didn't leave that many marks to get just 41. Seriously starting to lose hope... anyhow will give it again in December along with P5.
Pass the last paper with 56 marks, all 14 papers are now behind me. Tks god, opentuition and my family.
Finally 58% for me with the 3rd attempt...thanks guys for supporting each other.... wish the best to all of you! Goodbye acca for ever... take care of my money!
Past on 5th attempt with 53%, dont give up!
failed again from 44% down to 39% help guys share your experiences regarding this tricky paper
I passed first time with 53% - I am thrilled! One more exam left - P4 in December 17. But that is going to be very hard I think. I found P5 not too bad but I thought I had done better than 53% tbh! Just goes to show. I think the key is time management. You cannot waste time in answering one big question and leaving out other stuff. Once I got the key points down I left big open gaps in my answer to Q1 with the intention to come back and beef up my answer. When my allotted time for Q1 was up I moved on to Q2 and when that time was up I went on to Q3. I did not have time to go over the paper at the end so I couldn't fill in any of the gaps I had left! I was devastated. But I still got 53% so I did enough to pass. Get the key points down and don't waste time repeating yourself.
Wow Ellen Well done and congratulations!!! I felt totally inspired to not only for academic studies but for my other life endeavours.
@eteviotdale said: Passed 4th attempt, with 58%, which for me is a strong pass. I'm done! it's taken more than 10 years with a large break in the middle. I am so glad it's over! I can finally apply for membership. For those who didn't pass, do not give up! This time I downloaded the last 4 years exam questions and did every one as well as Questions from the BPP Book for those topics which had not come up recently. I have to say after previously using just BPP the Open Tuition lectures were much better and included more practical comments. To add i am 45, work full time and have 8 year old twin boys, I am also not naturally bright. If i can do it you can too. Good Luck!
Passed P4 (60%) and P5 (69%)!!!!!! Now affiliate! So happy
Massive thank you to Open Tuition. John, Mike, Ken, Chris and the team, your resources are second to none!
I'd recommend OT to anyone and as long as you put the hours in and can get over a stumble along the way you can do it!
(P.s Before the results, I couldn't log in with the link theory, but my e-business account said member@...)
Congratulations to all thoes who passed. I failed again, feel absolutely frustrated......
Passed at 58!
ACCA completed now an affiliate. Its been a journey indeed. I wish other same success.
thanks be to God i passed on my first attempt ,all exams completed what a sweet relief i now have my life back. good luck to all resitters it is possible dont give up
failed with 46 on first attempt. Feels very odd as I was well prepared, actually work in the field and didn't find the exam too hard! Had enough time to cover all questions as well...Reading all the comments of people failing this paper for multiple times scares me!
Problem is when English is not your mother tongue, in this discussion papers you have already lost 10 points before you even reach the exam hall. Simply takes more time to make your point and sort your ideas.
Well back to work and see you again in December!
Good luck everyone
@scott1207 said: I scraped a pass and no more, now finished all exams. I also want to say the THEORY OF THE LOGIN LINKS IS RUBBISH AS I HAD BOTH THE ERROR AND THE @STUDENT (what people were saying were fails on the other topic page) AND I HAVE PASSED. So in future for people resitng last exam please ignore people discussing the login methods for finding out pass info.Failed second attempt. I thought I had passed. Scored 42 first attempt when I left out like 30 marks undone due to poor time management. This time failed and scored 28 when I actually attempted all questions, really cannot believe it. What went wrong? I think I put in more theories or what and the marker got annoyed :-( What is this THEORY OF THE LOGIN?
Yemibabs - Give it a few days to rest then get back on it and start revising again. This was my 3rd attempt and i onyl just passed, which i am very surprised about (i thought i would be up in the 60+ range with the amount i wrote and valid points) I didnt feel i done anythig different this time round, i always use tht PEA method (Point, Explain, Apply) to get the marks. Just must have been lucky this time.
The "Theory of the Login" has been around for a while - if you go to the countdown threads, if it was your last exam, people found out a way to see if you had passed or not by using 2 old login screens to MyAcca, prior to results being released. If you had passed and were affiliate then it would shoud "contact [email protected]" and the other login would show details - this would mean you had passed
If you logged in and it stated contact "[email protected]" and the the other login shows and error screen then you were still classed as a student and had failed.
I was under the category of the error screen and still showing [email protected] and i passed - proving that theold login theory doesnt work and shouldnt be used to determine a pass/fail.
I passed p5 ,my last in 3 Rd attempt ,
My trick to pass was simple
I just imagine my self as CEO of company in question and answer whatever seems sensible to the challenges that company faces
My suggestion to fellow students and to specifically p5 students to do the same
It's only way out for p5
In other 2 attempts I tried everything ,I write whole theory of models but never get more than 40 ,
Trick of trade in p5 is solution to the challenges that any company faces and its only paper in Acca that can't have one right answer (and that's why it's my favorite paper of all)
Other suggestion that I want to give to students is to try and write what ever you think in your own style and words
Don't take past exams answer too seriously that's( bu-----it)
And if u r stuck never lose hope ,
Always believe in yourself
And always said to to yourself that you r going to do it in next exam
Try to study with small incremental efforts and you will get your reward eventually
Thanks and all the best
Passed first time with 57! Self studying :)
Thanks to Almighty ALLAH, I Passed P5 with 53% in my 3rd Attempt.
Now Affiliate..................
Managed to pass P5 with 56%. I had convinced myself that I hadn't passed, can't say I felt confident in the few weeks running up to receiving the results. Extremely glad to have this one out the way - two more to go!
Hi everyone, i passed with 50%. Its my first time and did it through self study.
Failed first time at 24%. Any advice
Passed with a 56 first attempt though I thought I scored much better. Anyway, a pass is a pass. Congratulations to all those who passed. To those who failed, keep trying. My advice to those taking P5: Put the P3 head away when studying P5.
