Oh my days!!! How on earth did I get 64%?

This has to go down as some sort of miracle. Passed p2 with 50 on the dot!
Funny thing is i already started reading p2 again cuz i taught i was going to fail.
This is just incredible.
So happy! Took three attempts but passed with 55%!!! Yay.
Passed. 71%!
Passed with 57%. So happy, was sure I failed. Thanks open tuition
Passed with 71... Yaaaay 3 more to go
Passed with 69. i'm so happy!!! :)
Third attempt with 55. Too good to be true. Should have been given up but now back to confidence.
me too. Congras.
Failed ... on my 3rd attempt! This is by far the most difficult exam I have ever passed, nothing prepares me for the questions! However I am getting gradually better each time, so fingers crossed I might do it in December, its taking up my entire life!!
absolutely fabulous...
i knew that i understood and possibly got a decent amount (about 30 to 35) of the Q1 50marker, but for the rest of the exam, i thought it would be really tough to have scrounged even about 15 or so of the other 50 marks on offer...
so thought id get about 45 to 48...
however, ended up with 64 !!!
well done opentuition !!!
(that goes with my June attempts F8 (76), P1 (51), and now Sept attempts P2 (64) and P3 (70) !! :-) )
Passed by the Grace of God,
Only managed to do 80% of the exam but still Passed it.
Many Thanks to GOD
Passed with 50
Efficient studying
Hi,
Congrats for passing P2 !!!
I've failed it a few times and hence, finding it very challenging.
Could you please share some tips on how you've prepared for this exam? I may actually scrape through in Dec.
Thanks
PS
Failed with 49 marks, very frustrating :(
Any suggestions to pass p2 ? I failed 3 times .
Keep practicing questions from the BPP revision kit. Try to do all questions atleast twice, and time yourself!
I passed P2 with 59 marks! Finally an Affiliate! I literally got my result one hour ago as i could not access MyAcca until i reset my password (took 4 calls to ACCA) and they did not e-mail me my result.
@TGee put my mind at ease as what you wrote in the exam was similar to what i wrote so when you got 64 marks i was more confident i had passed! My prediction was between 46-50 marks as well!
Congrats to all that passed and to those who missed out, keep going and never give up. Just plenty of question practice is required.
I went over the last 6 exam papers as they covered the most of the syllabus and the question style was similar.
Failed with 49 ...Things can only get better ...
Passed with 52%! So relieved. This was my 3rd attempt!
Have a look at face book - Tom clendon lecturer - he does a marking service
With several attempts I have failed again, I got 45% very disturbing, and my problem is the number of times I have attempted the P2 paper.I am Left with 3 papers to complete the ACCA exam but it seems I have to give up.
passed with 55,did not even work.....
Oh no, you are so close! I failed as well, 49 marks :( 3rd attempt. Have to admit haven't study a lot for the first 2.
anyway, don't even think about giving up, just some more practice and I'm sure our next session will be success!
wow congrats..
Hi TGee
Congrats and quite impressed.!
I flunked this nasty paper for the 3rd time hence feel like giving it up..!
What was your study method??
Appreciate if you would share it.
Thanks and krgds

Hi KDS,
I would say firstly to know Q.1 proforma's for all three possible questions P+L/ Bal Sheet / Cashflow there are a lot of marks and presentation marks on offer so simply knowing these and guessing answers for each line, admin cost, finance cost, or goodwill, intangible assets will provide you with a good score on question 1. some of the notes/adjustments required are very difficult so at the very least guess when all else fails.
for Section B and the standards I would recommend reading "A Students Guide to IFRS (3rd Edition)" written by Clare Finch. She helps simplify the standards and you really don't need to replicate even half of the official solution so the marks are there to be had.
Personally I would say if you are buying a complete textbook avoid BPP and use Kaplan as again they use better and less boring English.
Although if the choice was between buying the text book or buying the practice/revision kit i would get the Kit as practicing questions is the best/only way to scrape by in this exam.
Good Luck
Hi Guys,
I would 110% agree that the Proforma is really Important. I passed this Sep-15 exam and I used Kaplan text and did past Consolidation questions (Q1). I did not do the exam kit coz it's the same as past exam questions so I would not advise you to buy exam kit.
If you are going to pass this P2 Exam then you have to do well in Consolidation. Don't get panic if you think you can't do any of the adjustments just put a random figure but prepare the whole B/S or P or L or Cash flow.
In my case I got confuse with Hedging but I just wrote a random figure but I prepared the whole Statement of Total Comprehensive Income.
But I did practice Consolidation questions a lot.
Hope it helps
Thanks & GoodLuck
