August 15, 2018 at 2:58 pm #468010We never respond direct to emails – all communication is via the forums. You have the choice of the general forum (where you are now from) within which other students may step in to help you or the Ask ACCA Tutor forum and the respective tutor will respond to you
What to expect? Look at the ACCA specimen F4 / LW exam – you’ll find the link on this site when you go to the F4 / LW home page
Given the nature of the exam, 45 questions in total, the examiner has the opportunity (and does take that opportunity!) to ask questions from the length and breadth of the syllabus … so you’re not going to ensnare me in a guessing game where every guess that I make is probably correct!
How to make sure that you pass? Hide your study text or mail it to someone that you don’t like (maybe a politician?)
Make sure that you have an up-to-date revision kit from a recognised tuition provider (you can take advantage of 20% off the cost price of any BPP Material if you make your purchase through OpenTuition)
Download the free course notes available on this site
Read those notes over and over again – just read, don’t try to ‘learn’ – 2 hours from start to finish so aim for twice each week
Watch the videos as many times as you can face the prospect
Once through the videos and twice through the course notes? Open your revision kit and start answering questions
You will surely get around 80% of them wrong … but don’t despair because, on your next time through those same questions, only 60% will be wrong
Third time through you’re looking at scoring >60% and so the progression … progresses
Over and over again – and keep reading the notes and watching the videos
In an ideal world you’ll work through that revision kit at least 4 times before the December exam!
HINT! Do NOT write your attempted answers in the revision kit itself,. Write your answers on a separate piece of paper. That way your subsequent efforts will not be influence by your earlier efforts
Finally, when you hit a brick wall and come to something that you don’t understand (no matter how many times you read it!) post again on this Ask ACCA Tutor LW page and I shall get back to you
OK?
