Is this a generic email? Can someone clarify if possible please?

As I have already reported back to this post – these are all generic e-mails.

Generic does not mean that absolutely every student will get any or all of them because some will only apply to a region – for example, concerning cancellation of centre-based exams in March – or non-payment of 2021 subscriptions. So not getting an e-mail doesn’t mean anything either!

I have been reading through the comments and felt so weak trying to grasp and understand why people are getting frustrated on just generic emails. You (MR KIM) have been doing a great job telling people that it’s just a generic text sent to all or most ACCA students and that it’s not of any connection to their results.I fail to understand how professional accountants can still be bothered by just generic information even after being told it’s just generic email.People here should just start acting professionally and stop making the ACCA a culprit here. Its as clear as day that we all receive these messages and it’s got nothing to do with you or ur results. For those who are insinuating that ACCA had bothered them and that they don’t act ” professionally” I must say ur just being hypocritical and maybe ur talking out of anger and feelings. The ACCA is the only platform that takes matter professionally, and if being unprofessional means not leaking out generic emails then u don’t fully understand proffesionalism?.
We should all just sit back wait for the results and move on.Stop coming up with unnecessary claims that u “think” might ‘mean’.I understand that there is anxiety to this who receive these emails at first, but it has already been addressed that it’s generic,I see new comments popping up again on the same issue already addressed,I wonder why don’t people just read through the comment section first and see what has been already discussed, before saying the same thing over and over again.
Relax be confident and hope for the best in ur result .Don’t be people who just point fingers so fast to such small issues.Remember we should act proffesional before talking of what proffesionalism should be like.
All the best to everyone out there waiting for their results.

I am a finalist and I was four times unsuccessful in clearing AAA. The waiting period of more than one month is unbearable. I think the results should be declared in a weeks time at least for the finalist so we get more time to prepare if results are unsuccessful. We are losing nearly a month not knowing whether we will succeed or not which has a diminishing relevant focus on our preparation. Student No. 1588888

@herculan – if a student is not successful and needs more time to prepare for any reason they can always enter for June – there is no requirement to enter for the next available exam session. However, ACCA provides a sample 6-week study plan for resit students to help them prepare, and for many students this is doable.

If students got results in a week and failed they would no doubt then speculate that the marking process and checking and reporting procedures could not be sufficiently rigorous in so short a time – so you can’t really expect to have it both ways. There are other professional accountancy bodies that have only a fraction of the number of students that ACCA has – they don’t get their results out any more quickly.

@sephora1 – if you look at the 1st and 2nd pages of this thread you will see I have already made a number of posts on the topic. I also posted here regarding the qualifications of markers https://opentuition.com/topic/how-do-you-become-a-marker

It’s not necessary for every script to be marked by more than one person – there will be clear passes and clear fails and sufficient processes in place to ensure that all markers are marking to the same guidance and making the same judgments – e.g. the “seeding” that I referred to in an earlier post.

    Hi Tasbihak,

All the best for your results!

I gave APM as well and it was my first attempt and not hoping to clear .After reading quite a few comments after my attempt and even before attempting the paper and now yours it looks like I have made a bad choice in choosing APM . It seems it is hard to crack this paper in comparison to others.

Am I correct ? Does anybody has any other thoughts for APM please?

    Thanks.

“How much u have ever studied? You have studied enough for yourself so
TRUST YOUR HARDWORK, TRUST YOUR DEDICATION, TRUST YOURSELF and remember that ACCA is not tough course is the course for tough people..

Remember guys “one day your signature on someone else financial statements Will make it an audited financial statement and you/I were working hard for it…..”

    BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE

@Nadia – that may be because of the exam centre closures – if your location is offering remote exams the “booking window” does not open until 25th January – see the announcement here https://opentuition.com/topic/march-2021-remote-exams-booking-window-opens-on-25-january

I am waiting on APM results and then I have 1 more exam left, so for the June session I see the remaining options, but I am not able to book anything for March..

In these last hours I recommend – (i) ignore all communications and (ii) leave any attempts at booking until after you know results – there can be no necessity to book today – as per my post above the “booking window” for March will not be open until 25th January.

Look out of the window – if you have blue skies and, even better, sunshine – get outside and enjoy it!
