Hi guys, we have only about 16 days left before the results for the December sitting are declared. pls share your exam experience and how you are dealing with the anxiety about the result.
January 2, 2021 at 6:55 pm #601322I am not really anxious. i just wrote the exam and forgot about it. This is not because i am too confident in what i wrote but i cannot afford to come down with anxiety. over the exam. but i am positive a pass will suffice.
January 2, 2021 at 8:11 pm #601324fair enough………. ideally thats how it should be. but i have a habit of being anxious about everything.

January 3, 2021 at 8:33 am #601337Waiting for my last paper AFM. It’s a 50:50 call for me for the first time in ACCA. haven’t failed in any paper previously. Don’t know what will happen this time. So much nervous this time…

January 3, 2021 at 6:38 pm #601379I’m waiting for my SBL result, I’m a first-time finalist and it’s a very strange feeling! Not studying for the next exam in the meantime, trying not to check the date too often as it’ll drag…I just want to know at this point, I feel ok about how the exam went but SBL seems so subjective that it’s hard to feel confident.
January 4, 2021 at 3:46 pm #601451Hi Claudia, any tips for studying and revising for SBL.. it is my last exam and sitting it in March. Would be really appreciated!
January 5, 2021 at 9:43 am #601488Hi, I actually found reading the material in depth and fully internalising everything the most useful approach. I didn’t mention any specific theories or models in my exam answers, but I did refer to their content when thinking about the best responses. I think the key is really understanding the company you’re working for/ with in the exam – it’s better to go in thinking of it more as a job then an exam, where you have 4 hours to do your job as well as possible. That way you’re using more common sense and are not just trying to second guess what the examiner is looking for.
The ACCA Pakistan Practice to Pass videos were very useful too (I found them on YouTube). They help to break down the best exam techniques as well as study content, from number of points needed per question to timings. Even though it’s a 4-hour exam it’s still very time-constrained, I spent the first hour reading and planning so that I understood the company as well as possible and then spent the final 3 hours putting my answers together. I was very strict with time, as soon as I had used up my time on one question I moved onto the next one.
Hope this helps – as I said before I don’t know how I’ve done yet, but I just found these points helped me when preparing for SBL!
January 6, 2021 at 3:14 pm #601739today I have received an email from ACCA about the plan for the year such as planning a new approach for the studies. I am a finalist and It was my last paper. this kinda mail makes me nervous
January 6, 2021 at 6:20 pm #601771@Sayhossz please you must NOT read anything into this – it is a standard e-mail!
January 7, 2021 at 2:11 am #601779Results will be published on myACCA on 05:00 January 18 – UK time. However, you are able to sign up to receive results by text and email. This method would allow you to receive results at 0:00 (midnight) – UK time. In actuality, students receive results within 10 mins after midnight – UK time. Therefore, there is just a 5 hour difference between text/email vs myACCA. Hope this helps.
January 7, 2021 at 7:19 am #601785Oh I got it, thank you very much! that helps me a lot
January 7, 2021 at 8:38 am #601798I am a finalist as well. Sat APM for the third time sadly. The only ACCA paper which has bothered me to the core, my only unsuccessful attempt throughout the journey.
Honestly, not nervous at all. I did the paper well this time, properly timed it, attempted it completely, tried my best, rest it depends upon the world and the examiner.
I am so busy with the start of audit season that I forgot the results about to be out within 10 days, good luck everyone.
January 7, 2021 at 11:29 am #601806You need to subscribe for text or email notification to receive the results at midnight on 18th.

January 7, 2021 at 6:33 pm #601836I am anxious too. One of my friend cleared her last paper in the Sept sitting and she got the “good news before official announcement mail”. I am dreading that if I don’t have that mail 2 days in advance, it means a fail. Just cant shake that thought from my mind. It’s my last paper (AAA-INT), have completed PER and practical requirements as well.
