January 13, 2020 at 7:45 am #558194Congratulations to all those passed. I failed my first attempt at 40% was expecting atleast 55+ coz has attempted every question adequately. This is my first failure in ACCA don’t know whether I’ll be able to better the paper or not.
Should i go for a review or something?January 13, 2020 at 7:56 am #558201January 13, 2020 at 8:57 am #558226Never give up. You are half-inch closer to passing it. Start preparation early so that you can practice many exam-standard questions. After you are done with your OT videos, look for Rizwan Maniya’s videos too and watch then start your revision afterwards.
All the best.
January 13, 2020 at 9:02 am #558228Please go for March. In Nigeria, that’s what we call AS E DEY HOT, meaning, “as it’s hot” because everything would still be fresh in your memory. Watch ACCA Pakistan’s Practice to Pass videos by Rizwan Maniya after you finished watching OT videos. Then practice a lot of exam questions.
January 13, 2020 at 9:24 am #55823657% – first time pass !!!
January 13, 2020 at 9:54 am #558257Finally passed, 6th attempt 53%.
I felt like giving up so all that failed please keep going.
I really struggled with my writing skills. The difference between fail and pass for me was to keep my answers short, to the point and no waffle. I missed out huge sections of questions and still passed! I used a mixture of open tuition and videos on Vimeo from ACCA Pakistan exam approach webinars, and how all the subjects link together and which models to use. I also practised exam questions as my exam revision the last 6 weeks of revision. For me it was structuring my answer and using ‘buzz’ words to help me formulate an answer.Good luck to all who are retaking!

I think the key to passing this exam (and any really) is identifying where you are failing and fixing it.
The first time I sat this paper I focused a lot on exam technique and answering the question in relation to the case study which is very important for APM as every point you make needs to be linked back to the case study. However, I found I lacked knowledge it a few areas which came up so I didn’t know what points to make in order to link them back to the case, and so I failed with 44.
For my resit I focused heavily on making sure I understood every topic which could come up. I wanted to be in a position to be able to give any question a good attempt. My thought process was that most of the answers are in the case study but you obviously need to understand the theory in order to spot them. This worked for me and I passed with 72.

January 13, 2020 at 12:04 pm #558348I Failed with 49%. Devastating. This is my last paper. the ROI and RI did me in. Just could not remember how to calculate RI. 🙁
