AFM - 62%, i am surprised! because i did not attempt for 12 marks in Q3, Q1 - 10 marks report writing also wrote 1 or 2 assumptions only (10 marks question). I received affiliate email so it means the email sent on friday was correct!
Mmahendra5y ago#3
Scored 62 marks , ACCA AFFILIATE NOW. Good luck to everyone. I also received congratulations email before results.

62% in AFM, passed the first time and I'm finally an affiliate! It's been 4 years since I started my ACCA journey, I've had my highs and my lows. I can say it has been the toughest challenge I've faced but I can finally say I've completed all my exams and I'm thankful it's over.

Passed with 51%. I am over the moon.

Scored 48 which is definitely impossible. Considering an administrative review.

I have passed with 50% !!! My ACCA journey is over :-) I have started with DipIFRS in 2011. Then rejoined ACCA in 2014. Thank you OpenTuition for the resources and help!!! Good luck for others and good bye!

Bit disappointed. I have done the exam well and was expecting good result. However received email stating that due to technical issues, ACCA couldn't retrieve my paper for marking and has made full refund of exam fee. Anyone else with same issues?
AAyesha5y ago#11
Failed at 47%. It was supposed to b my last exam ??
OOre5y ago#12

Congratulations! Could you please share your tips?

Passed. ACCA AFFILIATE now; All self study for me, most important is do at least 5 years past papers, repeat do those past papers, until familiar with its. But, it is difficult for me to find a qualified accountant (IFAC) as my supervisor to sign off 9 objectives. I don't know how to do it .

First time failed at 39%, This time failed at 43%. P papers are really hard for me, I had even considered about giving up ACCA, but I have been spending so much time on it and put so much effort for it, I am not reconciled to give up. I think it is the way I studied not effective, so it is better to try a different way of studying and thinking NOW. Although it is quite sad to fail an exam twice, it is okay, just keep going and learning form mistakes.

Those who passed AFM, CONRATULATIONS, can give some guidance on how did you study for the paper. It could help to pass for our retake.
Vvivian5y ago#17
Passed on my third attempt, P papers are challenging plus English wasn't my mother tongue. It is difficult for me to explain but opentuition uses simple explanation where I can write out my answers swiftly during exam. Hoping everyone do not give up as we have come so far. All the best :)

Failed..40%..2nd attempt..was supposed to be my last paper as i wrote SBL & AFM this diet and i passed SBL (on first attempt)..finally letting go of AFM & going for APM in December instead so i can celebrate being an affiliate in Jan 2021.Congrats to those who passed and to the affiliates.
HHannan5y ago#19
Finally passed and became an affiliate! AFM Dec19: 34%, Mar20: 37%, Sep20: 55%; this time I just answered around 70 marks questions. Many thanks to the OT team specially to the dearest John Moffat.

Don't give up yet. I failed APM four times before I passed in March, make a note of areas of weaknesses and try and do as many related questions as you can. What I think helped me was that I attempt all of the questions my kaplan exam kit and read all of the answers, did all the past papers I could find as well as read all technical articles. You can do it.

Failed with 45%. I actually expected a total disaster because I completely messed up the hedging question, left out some written bits due to running out of time, and spent way too much time on the NPV question due to struggling with the CBE exam format and the formulas not working in the spreadsheet... Now, my strategy will be to prepare for the CBE format as much as I can and to start with section B (I did that with APM and it worked). It's good to have a fresh mind when you approach a hedging question because you can easily get bogged down in details and spend too much time on it. Overall, I'm relatively comfortable with the material but I'm not good with corporate restructuring and capital reconstruction or with company valuations. I'm quite sure at least one of the topics will come up in December... In the end, 45% may not sound that bad but it's for sure very far from good!

Passed with 76%... it was the last one. I'm soooo happy. Big THANKS for OT and the tutors for the fantastic work you are doing!
CCJS5y ago#24
82% - passed my last exam with a bang! Can't believe it
YYusuf5y ago#25
Passed with 66 Marks. Was expecting a bit on higher side. But never the less, Job is done. 2 more to go (SBR and SBL- both compulsory papers) thank you.
KKali5y ago#26
Hi, Do you have any summary notes for exam papers.
JOJAMES OSHO5y ago#27
Passed 51% on Second Attempt with 80 marks attempted . Now an Affiliate .
Llibertyg5y ago#28
Passed, thanks to God Almighty and Open Tuition. The questions in the September paper are exactly identical to a handful of past paper questions, with barely any change made. Guys - do not be dismayed. Keep going and you will prevail. The AFM lecturer is a Godsend, and absolutely brilliant at what he does. His work is par excellence and you will do well to listen to him. Good luck and God bless you all!! Thank you Open Tuition!! Good bye!

Pass 60% It was very hard! Thanks for help!
NNguyen5y ago#30
failed the 4th time with 46%. Honestly I did not prepare well for this time, as I was too busy with full time work, with a very long and late meeting on previous day before the exam date. I even considered to not show up on exam day but took the exam anyway. And the result is even higher than my 3rd attempt - which I put more effort in. So hope that my 5th attempt in Mar will be the last for AFM. Still have APM to go though :) Good luck to all!
