Hi, I am planning to take Masters in Data Science in order to switch/further advance my carrer. I’ve been learning about the Universitys’ Admisions Requirements and most of them requires Bachelor’s Degree. I am unclear about whether I can use my Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business(Applied Skills) to which my understanding is equivalent to 3years degree in UK. Is there anyone who has made the switch or have an answers to my question? Thank You!
The Advanced Diploma is “broadly equivalent to” but not the same as a degree (which is why ACCA created the Oxford Brookes BSc degree programme).
You will need to research the eligibility requirements of where you might take a Masters in Data Science, for example, a university may have an eligibility requirement that is “a Batchelor’s degree OR EQUIVALENT”, while others may insist on a degree.
If you don’t have any success finding a suitable degree course, you will find accountancy bodies offering additional qualifications in this area e.g. ACCA’s Certificate in Data Analytics https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/qualifications/glance/certificate-in-data-analytics-certda/overview.html
Thank You for the reply, from what I’ve learned we can evaluate ACCA Advanced diploma with WES which will result in 3year degree equivalent (means I might be able to apply for unis asking for Bachelor Equivalent). But in most cases they will ask for GPA, is there any way we can get it Evaluated with GPA as well?
