Ask the Tutor ACCA FR

ACCA

Hello Mike This question is not related directly to F7 but to the ACCA qualification as a whole. What should a recently qualified student do if it is that there employer refuses to sign off on their PER and gives no reason for doing so? I emailed ACCA and their response was that its a personal matter of the employer and they unfortunately cannot do anything about it. I find it quite dissapointing especially if all the PER objectives have been met. To me it goes against the ethical principles as well as moral values. Please advise.

I honestly don't know! Have you tried to sit down with your employer and discuss the matter with him / her? Is there no-one else qualified at your place of work to take on the responsibility? It seems to me that your only course of action is to discuss the matter with your employer and try to ascertain the reason for their refusal. (Maybe make a recording of that conversation?)
