I recently contacted the auditor who used to audit my work but she left the audit firm a few years ago. She’s willing to sign my Per but she has only AAT membership. As far as i know AAT is a full member of IFAC. Anybody has any experience with members of AAT signing off ACCA Per ?
In order to sign-off your performance objectives your practical experience supervisor should be a qualified accountant recognised by law in your country and/or a member of an International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) body.
As you say, AAT is a member of IFAC – so as long as your supervisor is a professional (full) member of AAT (not just a student or affiliate member) she appears to meet the requirement and would be able to sign off on your work completed before she left.
