Hello….
my answer to part (a) was very different ….
i wrote that IT can help in creating new businesses, restructure industries and create competitive advantage.
“new business” .. i related the unexpected extra capacity into an income generator – if IT had not been part of the strategy, this extra income may not have been possible
“competitive advantage” – related that the airline is probably in a stage where it needs to fight to maintain mkt share and thus focus on efficiency – and the fact that the WAN resulted in better productivity and customer service .. that improved efficiency
i could not come up with any “restructuring” examples….
is the approach i took acceptable?
the way question was posed was rather generic in nature … i thought it was asking for more generalized answers but oddly, the answer was very specific in the ideas
