I’m not sure what I can say to comment on your post, Kate – do you have anything to say to me that I could maybe comment on? Are the notes and lectures not detailed enough? Were there any questions that you had before the exam where you decided not to ask them on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum?
Did you spend endless hours in a revision kit? And still felt that you were under-prepared?
Please let me know on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum and I shall get back to you
July 10, 2020 at 5:42 pm #576522Hi Mike,
Thanks for all your lectures. Managed to pass with 73% using your lectures, notes and the BPP revision kit.
Thanks once again.
Regards
Vijay
July 11, 2020 at 8:17 am #576538Well done Vijay and thanks for letting me know
Onwards and upwards 🙂
July 15, 2020 at 7:43 pm #576931Congrats Vijay! Did you do the remote exam? If yes, how was your experience?
July 18, 2020 at 9:22 pm #577339Mike. You are amazing. Today I passed my F4 CBE with 79% marks. A lot is due to your lectures and notes, I must say.
I’ve only studied from your lectures and then revision. Practice, Practice, Practice, just as you said Mike.It took me 30 days to cover the syllabus through your lectures. 15 days revision. Total 45 days.
Thank you Mike once again.
July 19, 2020 at 4:39 am #577344Great news Muhammad, well done
Here’s hoping that you can replicate this performance in the next exams
Again, well done
July 24, 2020 at 1:47 pm #577831Thank you Mike, I passed the LW(Glo) Exam a week ago with 56%…self-studied for only one week (Although it’s definitely not recommended) using only the Opentuition notes, BPP Passcards and Revision Kit.
Some advices I can give from my personal experience:
Firstly, is to sleep well. Get atleast a good 6 hour sleep prior to the exam day. I slept for only 2 hours that night due to stress and believe me I know I could have done much better that day.
Secondly, practice all questions in the Revision Kit. I didn’t use any study text nor learnt all notes by heart. The key to passing the exam is knowing how to tackle the questions as the latter can be very tricky. (A small word can change the whole meaning of the question, thus the answer as well).
Third and lastly, attempt a mock exam one or two days before your exams. It might seem demotivating if ever you fail it (Believe me I failed with 48%) but atleast you would get an idea about where you’re standing and which chapters you’re having difficulties.
July 24, 2020 at 3:36 pm #577841Well done Sakshee, and I agree totally with your three recommendations … although I believe that even 6 hours sleep is not enough – my recommendation would be to aim for at least 8 hours
As for your preparation time of just one week … what can I say? I certainly would not join you with that if you were recommending it. Of course, a lot depends on other elements of one’s life that could be distractors. If there’s nothing to get in the way of studying, then maybe one week is sufficient to squeeze past this exam but anyone with ambitions higher then mid-fifties would need to spend rather longer
Nevertheless, well done indeed. On now to the next level 🙂
July 29, 2020 at 12:04 am #578520Failed with 49% just some time before.
Would it be recommended to get the administrative review done ???
If not any advice for the re-examination.
Thanks
July 29, 2020 at 6:01 am #578530Absolutely not! In all my years of teaching I have NEVER heard of a student that had their exam result changed. NEVER
Advice? Open that Revision kit and start going through the questions again and then, when you’ve finished all the questions, do them all again
I don’t remember you ever posting any questions on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum but it’s clear that you didn’t understand everything that you studied … so where were your questions?
We are here to help you but we can’t do that unless you tell us that you need help!
OK?

October 26, 2020 at 3:37 pm #593174Hello Mike,
Just had the first attempt of my LW (Eng) exam this afternoon. I found the exam a bit tricky while I was doing it as the questions were not straight forward. I had used the Opentuition website and BPP exam kit to prepare for the exam for the past 11 week. I scored 70% and I am very happy with the result. Thank you so much for your explanations and advice. Now off to make my donation and start getting ready for my next paper. Good Luck to everyone.

hi! i had my LW-GLO yesterday, remotely and I also found the questions tricky and different from the way they were in the Revision kit of BPP. while with the questions from the revision kit and i-pass i always got more then 85% in the exam i got 71. Good that i passed and in the end it’s more important to know what i learned for myself, but i was surprised.
November 19, 2020 at 7:00 pm #595658Happy to say I have passed finally 67%
November 19, 2020 at 8:15 pm #595670I have my Lw(glo) exam on Monday 23rd November. Any last-minute tips would be highly appreciated as this is my first exam for ACCA. I have gone through OT notes and Videos(Not thoroughly), I have also completed the Kaplan and bpp revision kit many times. Please any remarks or guidance would be highly valued.
November 20, 2020 at 3:47 pm #595801That should be enough to give you a fighting chance of a good pass
November 20, 2020 at 5:37 pm #595810Thank you.
November 24, 2020 at 6:59 am #596231Hi,
i just gave my lw(glo) paper yesterday. Alhamdulillah, I passed with 73%. First and foremost ThankYou Sir Mike for your amazing lectures and notes. although my passing percentage would look good to the majority of people but let me add, *it was a struggle*. I was doing a revision kit every day and the point came where I memorized the questions, but that didn’t prove to be any benefit to me. I would recommend students to go through the lectures and notes very thoroughly(i say this because I didn’t spend much time on them).Thank you sir mike again
Regards
