I got 93. CBE. it’s actually very doable. just do both BPP and Kaplan exam kit. I did them both twice. I spent very little time on the text book coz they have alot of irelevant points.

some CBE question repeat from the exam kit

good luck to others. I’m gonna start studying for my f3 now

Urgh…i just got 72. Darn… I agree with bumblebeez, BPP and Kaplan kit will be enough for those who taking F2 CBE to pass at least.

Good luck all, i’m gonna strive for higher marks in my F3 now…

i got 68% marks in f2. It was really tough .i agree with you both, just do both bbp and kaplan at least once.Dont rely totally in book. There was 50% theory question based on concepts not the written text in books.Just focus on building your concepts. In exam some of the questions repeat from the kit .What i conclude from the cbe exam is that if your concepts are weak you cannot pass the exam.so do practise question as many as you can.You have to be alert when doing exam i found 1 question whose answer was in that question.Simply the examiner judge your concepts. Now i am trying to get higher marks in f3. Good luck to all!

How well do we have to know the concepts? Are the style of questions similar to the i-pass CD questions?

Can you give any examples of questions on the concepts please. Thanks

=.=” This is ” OH My GOD ” because I take the paper exam.
Is the paper exam more tough than the CBE? Or the same Question?
    Please help with thanks.

The paper exam is not more tough – the standard of questions is exactly the same.

The only difference is that some of the CBE questions require that you type in an answer. The paper based always gives you a choice of answers.

    Hey Chinmei88,

You can get / order those kits at the relevant sites.
Just open your google , search: Kaplan Financial or BPP learning media , and later navigate those sites to find materials you need.
    That shouldn’t be difficult.

I would paste direct links here, but I’m not sure that any external links are allowed to be posted at this forum.

    Good luck,
    ansi

    Hello ansi,
thank you very much for your information. i have one more question hehe.

i would like to take F2 this coming december but unfortunately i am late for the registration! 🙁 so i will have to wait for the june 2011 exam. is it ok for me to study for it now ? i mean will the exam kit, books and everything still relavant to the june 2011 exam as everyone is posting for the december 2010 and i am too early to study for the june 2011 exam ?

by the time i guess i will take f2 and f3 together . hehe

    thanks again ansi 😀

    I see 🙂

well , generally it is recommended to study only from the most up to date materials, however as for F2 , you can start studying it now. It’s an interesting and an easy paper, that provides you with many formulas and skills that are very useful for further papers.

But in 2011 there will be a change in syllabus for most of ACCA papers. Please read information about it. For example here in SA :
    https://www.accaglobal.com/pubs/students/publications/student_accountant/archive/sa_june10_ACCAQual2011.pdf

For example as for Knowledge module exams , they will become more like current CBEs . So , yes you can start studying for exams now, it is even better , but i believe you’ll have to buy special materials for June 2011 session, to get familiar and used to the question format. As in exam, you might know the subject well, but what is required is to present your knowledge under time pressure.

    So , that’s it,
    good luck 😉

I scored 87% 😀 However, some questions were quite tricky, which I never came across when I was revising :S I’d have scored more:(
